John Freud is a full-time mediator who has handled over 5,500 mediations during his 44 year legal/mediator career, in a wide variety of substantive practice areas. John is a state certified county/civil circuit/appellate mediator (Florida # 9552 CRA); federally listed mediator (applicable federal district courts - Florida); and, a Texas Credentialed Distinguished Mediator (Texas Mediator Credentialing Association). He is also an approved Circuit Mediation Primary Trainer. He currently provides CME/CLE training to ADR professionals/lawyers. John is a graduate of Brandeis University (B.A., magna cum laude, 1978) and the University of Miami School of Law (J.D. 1981). Specializing in pre- and post suit, multi-party, high value, layered and complex disputes, John brings a unique style and structure to each mediation environment. His focus is not merely on the facts of a particular conflict, but more importantly it includes a persistent effort to determine the underlying drivers of decision-making of each participant - party and lawyer alike - in the mediation process.
