Joseph M. Dobkin has been a sole practitioner since 1984. Born in Pittsburgh, PA, he came to South Florida to attend the University of Miami and subsequently went on to study at the University of Miami School of Law. He earned his law degree from the University of Miami where he obtained his A.B. in 1979, (Magna Cum Laude) and further, his J.D. in 1982, (Cum Laude). He is “Av” Rated by Martindale-Hubbell, Inc., which is a significant rating accomplishment. It is a testament to the fact that a lawyer’s peers rank him at the highest level of professional excellence. He is a no nonsense, nuts and bolts practitioner, who loves to resolve issues both as an attorney and as a mediator. He is a people person who enjoys those who respect the legal system. He is a careful listener who understands that each side has needs that have to be met to some degree. Mr. Dobkin is a Certified Circuit/County Civil Mediator, and was originally Certified in October 1995, and has mediated hundreds of cases.
