When Melissa Steinberg became an attorney, she worked as general counsel for a Chapter 7 bankruptcy trustee before starting the Law Office of Melissa L Steinberg, PLLC. Melissa is also founder of the Dispute Resolution Center at Law Office of Melissa L Steinberg, PLLC, a full service mediation, arbitration, negotiation, collaboration, and training resource. Melissa serves as a Public Arbitrator for FINRA, and is an appointee to the list of professionals eligible to serve as fiduciaries for incapacitated adults throughout the NYC metro area. Melissa has received extensive training in facilitating mediations, including advanced training in matrimonial litigation. Melissa also received an Executive Certificate in Mediating Complex Disputes from the Harvard Law School Executive Education Program on Negotiation. Melissa also serves as a Public Arbitrator for FINRA. Melissa is an appointee to the list of professionals eligible to serve as fiduciaries for incapacitated adults in all boroughs of NYC, and Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester Counties. Melissa is also a member of the Shurat HaDin – Israel Law Center Legal Action Task Force; The Lawfare Project’s legal network; and the StandWithUs Saidoff Legal Pro Bono Lawyer Network. She is also the founder of The Anti-Terror Lawyer’s Toolkit, an educational and training forum to assist lawyers using civil litigation to combat terrorism, the BDS movement, and other forms of anti-Semitism.
