Ben Hand is the founding partner of Hand Law Firm, LLC. and a partner of Hand & Hand Mediation, LLC. Ben started Hand Law Firm, in 1990 after he graduated from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University. He was admitted to both the Alabama and Georgia Bar in 1990. Prior to law school, Ben attended Auburn University and graduated in 1987 with a B.S. in Business Administration. More and more Judges are ordering forms of alternative dispute resolution prior to trial and in the midst of the change, Ben decided to start a new endeavor in Hand & Hand Mediation with his wife, Elizabeth. With over thirty years of experience in law and over twenty years of experience as a Municipal Judge, Ben has the personality, knowledge and experience necessary to successfully mediate, family law, domestic relations, civil litigation, and criminal cases. Ben has seen first hand how mediation can defray the emotions involved in litigation and believes dispute resolution is an important tool that should be used by Judges and attorneys alike to settle cases without the costs and time needed for trials.
