Paul began his legal career in Jackson, TN at the plaintiff's law firm Hill Boren, PC, where he was a partner for five years. At Hill Boren, his practice involved representing injured workers, automobile accident victims, and other general liability plaintiffs such as slip and fall, etc. He then began working as Staff Counsel for Travelers in Memphis, TN in 2001. When he first started at Travelers, he only defended workers compensation cases but his practice morphed into defending not only workers compensation cases but automobile cases, general liability cases and UIM claims. In the last seven years he tried jury trials in Shelby County Circuit Court and Madison County Circuit Court as well as bench trials in Shelby County Gen. Sessions Court and Madison County Gen. Sessions Court. He is Rule 31 certified in civil mediation for more than 25 years. All of his required Tennessee mediation training is up-to-date.
