Steven Sepassi’s approach and style to facilitating settlements was formed and molded by his business and legal experiences, which began in 1989 and 1995, respectively, as well as his personal life experiences. As an advocate, he handled hundreds of cases on behalf of plaintiffs and defendants, including insured defendants, in personal injury, as well as business and real estate matters. Once Steven altered his role from advocate to mediator, he served in a variety of cases, as well as serving as a Judge Pro Tem for the Los Angeles Superior Court. These experiences exposed him to the dynamic life-cycle of litigated cases. As his mediation practice developed throughout the years, he found that his mediation style became less rigid and more fluid. Depending on the facts and the dynamics between the parties, he tends to favor a facilitative negotiation style.
