Brian Brookey specializes in intellectual property litigation, with expertise and success on behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants in patent, trademark, copyright, and trade secret litigation. Brian’s practice is truly national in scope. Admitted in both California and Washington, D.C., Brian has litigated cases in approximately 20 states, and has clients in even more locations. He also handles matters in U.S. Courts of Appeals throughout the country, before the International Trade Commission, and with the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board and Patent Trial and Appeal Board of the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Brian represents a broad range of companies across numerous industries and technologies. Most cases settle. Most cases should. After decades settling high-stakes cases, while maintaining his practice as an IP litigator Brian has added mediator to his repertoire. He is a trained mediator with the Central District of California’s ADR program, and has helped parties reach resolutions that seemed impossible before the mediation session. Brian is available coast to coast to assist parties in settling their IP disputes, from relatively small matters to “bet the company” cases.
