I have mediated hundreds of State and Federal Court cases and many claims throughout South Carolina since 1995. I draw on my extensive litigation experience to provide comprehensive insight into each specific case and thereby create a clear, open, respectful atmosphere that provides the parties the necessary platform to cultivate a satisfactory resolution. In my thirty-year litigation career, I was one of the founding members of one of South Carolina’s first women-owned, ethnically diverse law practices and was considered one of the top employment litigators in South Carolina, representing claimants in matters ranging from collective actions alleging pay disparities to individual claims of harassment or discrimination. I also defended multi-national retailers in a variety of tort cases and products liability disputes for many years. I have served as an investigator in workplace disputes and have also acted as a hearing officer for institutional grievances. I draw on this broad, diverse work history as I approach each unique mediation. Types of cases I mediate include: tort claims alleging personal injury, ranging from auto and trucking collision to premises liability matters; professional negligence claims; reputational injury and defamation claims; civil rights disputes; school injury claims; workplace harassment and discrimination matters; pay disputes.
