Carolena Steen, mediator and trainer has mediated hundreds of cases since 1989 to include disability, discrimination, family planning, employee and civil disputes. Carolena Steen is a member of the Colorado Mediation Association and a Licensed Clinical Social worker. She has a BA from the University of Colorado, an MSW from the University of Denver and a PhD from Walden University all specializing in conflict resolution.

Mediation is a facilitated process in which the mediator assists each party define the issues in order to reach an agreement that is resolution based on each parties needs. The mediator facilitates and adpts the process so that parties are designing their own resolution while taking into account the complex issues and the dynamics of each situation.
