My legal background has enabled me to work in many different roles: courtroom lawyer, mediator, facilitator, non-profit consultant, conflict coach, and non-profit executive. All require intensive listening, relationship building, strategic thinking and planning, and leading with vision, persistence, resilience, and an open heart. Over my years in these various areas of practice, I have developed a practical mindset that keeps me focused on the details while always keeping the “big picture” in mind. I firmly believe that the power of process and mindful communication creates the space for change, growth, and effective and satisfying outcomes for clients. I am a passionate advocate for all my clients, including in mediation where we work together to discover the words that need to be said as well as those that shouldn’t or don’t need to be said. In family mediation, my extensive past work on behalf of children has made me a passionate advocate for the well being and importance of children in divorce planning, mediation, and development of parenting plans.
