Darcy is a skilled and experienced alternative dispute resolution (ADR) professional. She has a reputation for calmly and patiently helping disputing participants to peacefully mediate their conflicts. She has mediated high conflict civil, community, school, and faith-based disputes. She is a board member of the Association for Conflict Resolution – Houston. She is also a member of several ADR organizations including the Texas Association of Mediators; the Texas Mediator Credentialing Association Credentialed Distinguished Mediator; and the Texas Mediation Trainers Roundtable member. Darcy has presented on dispute resolution topics including conflict resolution in the workplace and in the community; writing mediated settlement agreements; mediation pitfalls; faith-based mediation; and social emotional learning (SEL) in schools. She has facilitated the 40-hour, basic mediation training for several Texas dispute resolution centers. Darcy co-developed, coordinates and offer the ACR Houston Our Peacebuilding Community peer mediation training program for student groups. Darcy Thompson also coordinates the Power Up educational program for Peace Peddlers, Inc.
