Based in Los Angeles, but will travel if needed. 30+ years of practical experience working with high net worth individuals and their families relating to: income tax planning, asset protection options, gift and estate tax structures, formation of numerous legal entities, real estate purchases, leases, sales and 1031 exchanges, selection of investment advisors, review of investment options, and handling sensitive and confidential matters for the family. We can assist with disputes involving an alleged fraudulent conveyance and/or other so-called asset protection planning issues. Whenever the term “that is a deal killer” is heard in a potential business sale and/or a real estate transaction (it could be a low appraisal problem, inspection report issues, lender unreasonableness, price and/or terms issues), someone should be suggesting that the parties retain the services of a knowledgeable real estate mediator. Often a solution can be found involving the financing, the future of one or more of the parties and other points. Sometimes, great solutions are found “outside the box.” It is critical to understand that there is a box and how to work outside of it. Our goal is to find a “win-win” resolution to all of the misunderstandings.
