Angela Gupta

With more than 30 years of legal experience, Angela Gupta is a quick study of complex legal and factual issues and has a strong ability to connect with and understand the perspectives of all of all parties to a dispute. Since 2019, Angela has devoted her practice exclusively to the neutral roles of mediator, arbitrator, fact-finder, and special master. Angela has worked closely with federal judges in the District of Kansas to help resolve numerous cases involving a wide range of federal and state laws including: Employment, Discrimination, Harassment, Wage and hour, Consumer protection, Civil rights, Breach of contract, Insurance coverage, Intellectual property, Personal injury, Product liability, and Professional malpractice. In this capacity, Angela assisted with over 100 jury and bench trials and drafted over 1,000 rulings on summary judgment, discovery, procedural, and evidentiary matters. Through her work at the Court, Angela developed extensive experience in judicial decision making at all stages of litigation, including significant rulings in class action and MDL proceedings. Additionally, Angela practiced law in civil litigation with two major Kansas City law firms and the United States Attorney’s Office. Her experience included handling employment, commercial, and bankruptcy matters through all stages of litigation including first-chair and second-chair trial work, court hearings, all aspects of discovery including depositions and expert witnesses, pleadings, motions practice, mediation, and settlement negotiations.
