Janetta M. Coleman

Janetta M. Coleman, MS, LSW, President of Genesis Mediation of Indiana LLC, has been a registered Domestic Mediator since 2016. She is also a Licensed Social Worker with over 25 years of experience helping people navigate and resolve emotional family matters with a focus on positive outcomes. Janetta is currently on the board of the Indiana Association of Mediators (IAM) and a member of the Academy of Professional Family Mediators (APFM). She is also one of the Indiana Supreme Court approved trainers of the 40-Hour Domestic Mediation Training. Genesis Mediation of Indiana LLC was born out of observing people experience financial and emotional exhaustion from high-conflict legal proceedings over family matters. Unfortunately the traditional courtroom setting immediately puts individuals in adversarial roles rather than fostering an environment of cooperation. This tends to be counter-productive towards reaching amicable, affordable and lasting agreements. We help Indiana residents who are seeking family mediation services such as Divorce Mediation, Parenting Plans, Parenting Coordination, and Elder Mediation. Choosing family mediation is more expeditious and cost-effective than traditional court proceedings. Participation in mediation reduces conflict, allows each individual to be equally engaged, and to remain in control of arrangements over parenting plan(s), property division and financial decisions. We also give special focus and attention to families who may have been children with special needs, medically fragile, and/or adopted.
