At the beginning of Jim’s practice, he was primarily a real estate, construction, and business law litigator as well as a regulatory attorney primarily involving the California Energy Industry. Since moving to Sonora, California Jim has become a country lawyer, primarily working as a mediator, negotiator, and coach. His law practice now focuses on real estate, construction, business, and collaborative family law disputes. Both Cherry Law and Coach Cherry share the mission commitment to be a peacemaker and peace builder. Jim works with individuals and businesses as well as institutions, such as State Courts and various schools, helping them to mediate disputes either between faculty or between students.
