Neutral ProfileThrough mediation, complex legal disputes are often settled without going to trial, saving the involved parties time, money and much frustration. At Durham based Beason & Trehy Conflict Resolution, LLC, our neutrals have a combined 75 years plus experience solving disputes using successful mediation techniques. Since 1992, our firm has worked to help people throughout the country avoid the more adversarial process of courtroom litigation. Ms. René Stemple Trehy has devoted her professional career to alternative dispute resolution. Ms. Trehy has long been a member of the North Carolina Bar Association’s Dispute Resolution Section, and she served as the Section’s Chairperson from 2012-2014. Ms. Trehy graduated cum laude from West Virginia University in 1983 and in 1986 from Duke University Law School. From 1990- 2002, Ms. Trehy served as Executive Director of the Duke University School of Law’s Private Adjudication Center. In that position, she designed, implemented and directed the administration of ADR programs for settlement of class actions and mass torts, led the Center’s mediation training, and administered the Center’s dispute resolution programs. In 2002, Ms. Trehy co-founded Beason & Ellis Conflict Resolution, LLC.
